This was a real pleasure to build. Some especially nice touches included options for folded wings, positionable flaps, nice cockpit detail, 2 pilots included,
nice decals, good panel line detail, and great fit.
I bought this kit particularly for the open or folded wing feature and I would recomment it if you’re modeling that type of scene.
I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this one…there is some minor fill work on the underside but nothing to get crazed about.
The kit includes decals and paint schemes for three corsairs. all of which sport the 2 tone blue and white underside.
You can also set the canopy open or closed.
I highly recommend it especially for the price under $25…
I didn’t test fit the wings in the lowered position…I would expect this kit was set up with the anticipation modelers would fold the wings…I know tamiya offers
other kits with open wing assembly solely.
The one I built was difficult to align and fix in place. It could just be my inexperience (it was my second attempt at modeling) as Tamiya kits are usually good, but I have heard similar comments from others.
Also, it was before I discovered Tenax7!
Very nice build , good looking Corsair. The Tamiya kit can be built with the wings extended, but it takes careful fitting & glueing to pull it off well.
Tank. I built that kit with the wings extended and it took a bit of patience. If you check my past posts the pics are there somwhere. Your folded version is great is great! Love that kit.
