I, like many modelers (I THINK) really dislike those 4-piece fuel drums that come in 4-pieces, and was looking for a single-piece replacement, anyone know of one? I did note that Tamiya has a GErman WW2 fuel drum set - are they 4-pc as well?
Thanks!

Yes, the German Fuel Drum set also has 4 pieces per drum. You will find all plastic sets come that way. They can come out looking great with some care and if you use liquid glue.
If you want solid ones, you will have to go with a resin set. Most resin companies have them; Verlinden, MIG, Blast, Legend, etc…
While I personally don’t have any issues with the Tamiya drums for intact fuel drums, the resin sets with the empty, dented, crumpled, and crushed drums look pretty good…
“Tanks”, dudes!

I second that groan [:D]

I think I’ve seen some tutorials about makin your own drums out of lead foil/aluminum foil type stuff. Check Armorama’s tutorial pages, they might have something for you there.
If money is not a particular issue, the new-ish Dragon 1/35 Tauchpanzer IV Ausf.E comes with a fuel trailer.

On this trailer are mounted two 200l fuel drums. The sides are slide-moulded as single, tubular, pieces, with the top and bottom moulded separately.
With luck, Dragon will release the fuel trailer, either as a stand-alone kit, or as part of an accessory set, some time next year.
Cheers,
Chris.
