Tamiya and Dragon files for Bankruptcy

If only this is true…Then we might

  • see a reduction of the whiners complaining about this part does not line up with that line drawing that’s floating around the net and is not even necessarily correct

  • they all take up sewing instead!

  • an increase of actual modelers as opposed to assemblers

Why does this has to be in April…

Bad karma? [:^)]

Think it smells like an April Fools1 [:O]

Dragon? Mach Ich Kein Deutche Papier-Panzer!

Tamiya? Dey don’ do what I want to build!

I got enough in my Stash to last 229 months at least, & HobbyBoss do the stuff I replenish my stash with… [;)]

With all the ado about this, did anyone hear the bigger news??? China said to “fuggedaboutit” to our IOU’s.

I missed the photos !

( the ones showing pigs flying and a snowball in Hell…)

BTW…Pink Floyd t-shirts and albums don’t count …[whstl]

They might as well file bankruptcy. I wonder how much plutonium will be in their plastic?

…and you thought Round2Models was the only one issuing Glow in the Dark kits…

I heard that Lindberg kit quality now surpasses Tamiya, Hasegawa and Monogram combined!

Eric

I swear I just saw a pig fly by the window…

Pat.

You, too?

It’s just a model…

Heresy!

It’s a religion…

[A]

Sure, but heresy is only one letter away from heresay.

Pat.

Ah, true (sorta’).

But hearsay wouldn’t get you burned at the stake during the Spanish Inquisition…

Hey, I smell fiddly bits burnin’!

Pat.

…or yer head lopped off in Afghanistan…

on second thought…it would !

BTW…“Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!”

awww wow the two best armor companies in the industry. :frowning:

Honestly, nothing would surprise me anymore.

And wIth the prices they’re asking for some of the models today, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit.

Between a bad economy , fewer young builders and aging, arthritic baby boomers planning for a reduced retirement income, how long can the new and increasingly more expensive kit production continue?
