This is a very whimsical and lighthearted kit - a good diversion for those wanting a break from any buildup of tedium. In the Tamiya quality that I come to expect, even this skill level 1 set is enjoyable to make, mainly because of the appreciation in the robustness of the parts, and the engineering of the set as a whole. This kit is in opposition to a photo-etched based kit. You can assemble this Aerial Cabin with two left hands (Southpaws, no offense to you), and still not come close to breaking anything. And at the end of your endeavors is a battery powered tram that follows an elevated, suspended string - with the ability automatically to change direction when encountering the included stoppers at either end.
The inside of the box when folded and painted, becomes the cabin’s shell.
All the included gears, levers, and switches are Tamiya-tight.
I have this installed in my den, and like to have it running when guests are invited. Sometimes it takes awhile before they notice the little pink cabin drifting nonchalantly overhead.
