I was on ebay and saw a 1/72 F-4G by Tamiya and was weirded out since for all I know and what tamiyausa shows there is NO modern jets in their 1/72 collection. I just went on to Tamiya’s Japanese site and found this: http://tamiya.com/japan/products/list/72plane/kit60701.htm Is it just me (who happen to be an armor guy…) who is too slow to see any previous threads covering this? I think I might have seen those joint strike fighters when they were released. Anyways, how do I even get those kits aside from ebay? the US market is missing like 2/3 of those kits. it’s just not fair.

Yep, al those fancy new jets are reboxed italeri kits.
And some people still don’t understand why Tamiya is loosing its fans.
I have stopped looking at the tamiya kits since a couple of years (except their cars and motorcycles) because nothing new hits the shelf, and they keep rising the price for their existing kits, even the ones that have been around for a decade or two.
Beside, the last couple of years, the quality of manufacterers like Revell Germany and Italeri have improved a lot while their prices keep being reasonable.
