Finally we have completion, took me probably about 100hrs and was a first for quite a few things, namely airbrushing camo also PE for the cockpit. After painting the nose cone I found that the coloring of the indent code decals and fusalage band didnt match the nose cone so I had to make some stencils and paint them on. I threw in a couple photos from before completion due to the fact that the final shots I took were kinda blurry and I now no longer have the model in my posession. Let me know what ya think everyone

It looks great! That was a great thing you did with it. I hope you go and buy yourself one with the same AM parts and this time keep it. For all the firsts and going the extra to make your own ident codes, is truly a great build. [tup]

Ya I know, as satisfying as it was to give as a gift and suprise my best friends dad I really almost miss it. Something I put so much effort into was tough to part with

JWB is working on P-40 these days [:D] … me too , but I had a bit time today to finish a second coat on my Vb

Finally some clear pictures, if you look closely you can see where I hollowed out the exhaust with a dremel

Great job on that one, Chris, and super pictures too. The camouflage demarcation lines are very well done and the overall finish is very well done.

Wish I could help you on that one, I wouldnt know. To tell you the truth I almost painted the wrong colors on this thing before somebody here came to my rescue

Nice job ! …and I am glad I posted my latest project while in progress - guys here pointed my mistake with decals , BEFORE I sealed them ! OUCH [:D] it would be a very painful mistake
