[8D Hello gang, just wanted to share my photo of my completed Tamiya P-47D. I finished it OOB with Bare Metal Foil. This kit was a fun build and went together without a hitch. The nose art was made from black decal film cut in the shape of a storm cloud and letters from Archer Dry Transfers. The lightening bolts were painted with Tamiya acrylics. I don’t normally do WWII subjects, but I decided to take a break from my Trumpeter 1/32 F-105 for a breather. Enjoy!]

Looks amazing. Great job on the finish.
Great job on the build. Thanks for sharing.
Very very nice! How is the BAre Foil to work with? I’ve always played it safe with Alclad.
Outstanding job![bow][bow][bow]
Here’s another shot of her from the front. I applied the foil to the props and then painted them Tamiya semi-gloss black, applied the decals and coated the props with micro-flat. Waited about an hour and used 400 grit to wet sand the leading edges for the chipping effect.

Reminds me of the old chrome-plated Mustang kit I built that Hawk put out in the '60s.
