I just finished this little kit as part of the 1/48 Armor Group Build. The same one that Dupes’s 1/48 Hezter is part of, please stop by there and join up, these are fun and relatively quick builds.
As I have only started building armor recently (having built only planes since I got back into the hobby), I would appreciate any comments and advise on how I can improve. Thanks for dropping by.
Neat build. Swanny did one of these recently too. Now if only Tamiya would follow up with something British. I still got 2 x 1/48 dios to do and no vehicle to go with them.
Tamiya is coming with a british WWII car. The british version of the Jeep. Also, the Russian GAZ was based on this vehicle and the US Willys.
And boy, I want one… But I would like to see a 1/48 Churchill!!! And a Bedford truck! And of course the Opel Blitz for sale in Europe… -.- Would be nice to see a Panzer I in 1/48 as well… But that can wait…
Just as long as they get the Opel Blitz over here, in Europe.
Yours looks nice, I just picked one up myself and am planning on building it during the long weekend coming up. Any problems or issues? To me, it just looks like a small car kit as opposed to your typical softskinned armor kit.
No real problems, it’s a fairly simple kit. No pedals, but if you don’t cut the doors open, it’s hard to see the floor anyway. The only bit of trouble is the side ‘windows’, the top is comprised of 3 clear pieces. The support is molded in and makes it really tough to mask. I wind up using liquid masks since I coulnd’t get tape in those little crevices.
Rick, Just ordered mine from LuckyModel. Hope this one is actually “in stock” and will arrive with my 1/48 Tamiya Willy’s (which was listed as 'available" on their website) silly me for thinking it would be here already. (ordered and paid for in November !)
