Tamiya 1/48 German Steyr 1500A/01

Model represents a vehicle from the 90th Light Division, North Africa 1942.

Kit was built OOB. Only modification was drilling out the exhaust pipe. Painted with Tamiya & Vallejo acrylics. Weathered with oil washes & pigments. Decals from the kit & Archer dry transfers.

Eric, I used Tamiya Desert Sand for the basic color, then oversprayed with highly thinned Tamiya Buff, mostly on the top surfaces. The canvas top was sprayed with Tamiya Khaki, lightened with about 20% Buff, then dry brushed with Vallejo Buff. The tires were brush painted with Vallejo German Grey & The seat cushions were brush painted with Vallejo Khaki. All of the small details were also brush painted with Vallejo.

Thanks Rick. I know many are high on Vallejo. I have a few, but what I don’t like is their bottles. You can’t really reuse any of it.
