I was referring to the panels of the canopy and using an acrylic gloss, like quick shine floor polish or any of the water soluble gloss clear coats available. Apologies for the confusion. Looking forward to seeing updates.
Not really an update since I’m still on vacation but I was able to go visit Hannants and it is quite an impressive store. Much better than what I’ve got at home.
Also went to tankfest and got to look around all the stores set up there. I’ve been to Bovington when I was around 14 but not tankfest. Plus I got some models at the museum store and some tweezers and single bladed side cutters from a place I can’t quite remember the name of unfortunately, but they had a trader stall and the guy there was very nice! Plus they had a MASSIVE 1/200 scale Bismarck.
Makes me think what the 1/200 scale Yamato/Musashi look like?
Also not much of an update.
Sorta been burnt out a bit so it’s gonna be slower paced.
Also not helping is I got an 87 dollar Badger Extreme Patriot from Spraygunner and it performs infinitely worse than the crappy 20 dollar one I got from Amazon.
Paint doesn’t atomize well at all, paint comes out when just depressing the trigger
Yeah. Not great stuff.
Hopefully Spraygunner helps me out here.
It looks like the O ring was twisted, serrated parts for grip near the nozzle looks like it has been damaged and the inside almost looks like a sewer pipe.
Sorry to hear about the airbrush trouble. I just recently upgraded to a new double action Harden that I purchased from the folks down at Spraygunner and they were very helpful getting my rig set up with a quick release system so i can use both the new gun and my old trusty Paasche H. Hopefully they can help get your rig up and running again.
Your “Hamp” progress is looking great! You did a fantastic job on the cockpit interior.
