Tamiya 1/35 M1A2 ODS - Colour for tracks?

Hi All

As some of you might know (another thread) I’m building my 1st tank, 1/35 M1A2 ODS from Tamiya.

The instructions tell me to paint the the vinyl tracks with plastic paint but doesn’t say what colour to use.

Is flat black or nato black fine?

Can I use enamel or laquer based paints on the vinyl tracks?

i’d say nato black because the rubber fades quickly and the rest of the track is steel (in real life) so what happens to painted steel is what you should paint the rest of the track.

Tha M1 track is basically the same color as the M60A1 track. Prime Portal has some close up track photos of ODS M60A1s. Look in M60A1 with ERA. Greg.
