Had to chance to complete this fun little build. Definitely enjoyable to build something from Tamiya after struggling with building Monograms old M-48A2. granted it’s not the fairest of comparisons, but still! 
Paints and p0rimers were using Vallejo products with weathering done with oil’s and Vallejo paints. Enjoy.

@Mustang8376 That is awesome. I’m 95% an airplane guy, but have tried to branch out over the years to build other subjects. I’ve built 3 armor kits, 2 tanks and a transport truck. I’ve been thinking in recent months about getting another armor kit, and the M-16 is on the list.

That’s well done. Really like the quad 50s - sure would be fun to squeeze of a few rounds from that.

Nice work. Made my father pick that kit up to build when I was around six because I liked the way it looked. Oddly enough I have never built one of my own.
Mustang8376, I think that you did an awesome job on this M-16 kit. I still think that these “Vintage” Tamiya kits can still be made into show stoppers with skill and patience, which you have done her. I’m so glad that Tamiya is slowly reissuing these half-track kits again. They’re gems!

I built one of those as a teen, but it didn’t survive the last few decades of moves. Thanks to your inspiration I’m going to buy and build another!
Your half- track reqlly turned out good! Even though you have to do a little more TLC when building but the end result is just as good as Dragon or Other mfgs.

Well done! I have the m series half tracks from dragon models. High on detail but omg, did they have to break down individual components that far? These tamiya kits provide nice detail without sacrificing your sanity.
To be fair, sanity is highly overrated!

I remember working on this kit when I was 12. For some reason that I don’t recall now, I only got to around 60% completion. Also don’t recall what became of it.
This sure brings back memories. I would love to have a go at this again. Great kit
