Tamiya 1:32 F4U 1A Corsair first steps (now almost completed)

Cockpit almost finished. I have used the Quinta 3D Decals… amazing kit so far…will post other shots as the job progresses.

That looks amazing. Based on the work in your cockpit, I think we’re all in for a real treat. It’s coming along!!

Engine ongoing.. I have added the ignition wiring using 0.4 mm lead wires. Need to add the secondary lines and retouch some of them as during the assembly part of the paint on the wires went away.

Well, skipped a few build updates here, but it’s almost getting there… these are some shots taken after Flory Models wash and some initial weathering… all national insignia and stencils painted using 1Man Army maskings… this is a great kit.. absolutely a joy to build…

That thing looks like it’s about to launch off the screen. It really seems like painted markings, 32nd scale, and skilled weathering are a magic combo.
