Sometime ago I asked about the difference between the F-18 A/B and the C/D. Sorry to say I can find it now, I thinking about buying Tamaiya’s 1/48 F-18 C and D and make them into the former ones.
What needs to be done, has anyone of you guys done this already, is it hard work to do this etc, etc.

The visible differences between the A/B and C/D models are minimal. The C/D have more ECM blisters that will need to be removed and I think some of the blade antennae are different. C/Ds have slightly different exhaust cans as well and some minor differences on the tail. Also, there are some slight changes to the cockpit. Tamiya doesn’t make an f-18 ,do they ? Unless you mean haesgawa or Tamiya f-15. Not quite sure which kit/aircraft you mean .
