OK, so the Tamiya 262 is done, I need to make the diorama base for it.
The decals in this kit were really difficult to work with, it took allot of microsol to get them down 
All enamels with alclad semi matt over all.

The kit itself is really very nice. Just a tiny bit of filling and sanding was needed, the rest is typical shake 'n bake Tamiya quality.
I only found out how bad the decals were after I started putting them on, but the micro sol and allot of patience beat them into submition lol.
The motling was actually easy, I just took it in stages with a fine tip AB.
If I do another 262 it will have to be the 1/32 Trump one, I hear they are good. I already built the 1/72 Revell nightfighter 262, that was also a great little kit!

Fantastic 262 Theuns. The mottling looks right on. I just used some of the Tamiya stenciling decals on my Mosquito and they went on ok. I guess they’re just a crap shoot. For a dio base, try this. Get a pine wooden plaque from a craft store for about 3 bones. Slap Elmer’s white glue down an then pour “rear dirt” onto it. You can add grass with model railroad grass if you wish too. I’ve been doing this for years and its easy. Anyways, thanks for sharing.

That is basically the same tecnique I used for this 109’s base.
It will just be a little more busy with crew working on it ect.
