At yesterdays IPMS-Glue Crew event I was given a surprise when my 1:48 Tamiya P-47D won an award. I mainly entered a couple of my models just to support the event, not figuring that I would even win anything. But it was nice to see that it received approval from my peers.
A second P-47 also finished with the Talon acrylics also made an appearence at its first ever event. Mike R. of Madison, WI did a fine job with his 1:32 Jug!
Well done and thanks for sharing the great looking P-47. Don’t forget the lesson this contest has to offer you: IF A BUBBLETOP CAN GARNER YOU A THIRD PLACE FINISH, THEN NEXT TIME BRING THE RAZORBACK AND EARN BEST IN SHOW!!! Best wishes from a razorback fan.
Congratulations on your third place award. Both P-47’s look great .Did you apply a clear gloss coat before the decals and then seal the decals with a clear coat ? Since it’s an acrylic metalizer is there a special thinner for the Talon series? Thanks.
