Here is the 1/24 Heller kit of the car that won the Belgian Grand Prix in Spa-Francorchamps in June 1949 (pre-F1 championship); old Heller kit I found at a swap meet earlier this year for not much money. It requires a certain attention and a bit of work but is altogether a decent base. Only real addition was the new exhaust pipe that should be a double exhaust pipe. Markings were airbrushed with hand-made stencils, the decals being too old to be useable..
I decided to represent the car weathered, post-race. I like my models dirty..!
