Decals are on over a gloss coat, then sealed. It’s time to weather.

Tracks are painted and have a dark wash, just need pastels to finish them, side skirts are ready to dust. I will be adding some stowage in the turret baskets later, but it will be covered by tarps so I’ll probably just use pieces of foam for shape.

Coming along very nicely.

Excuse the poor pics, my extra light source died cos I left it in for a couple of hours, but I have progress. Pastels are mostly done, now I need to add fuel and oil stains, a few other small bits and stowage. I will display this on a base simulating concrete, so I can make a big puddle of oil under the engine. From what I understand, Chieftain crews carried a big drip pan that went under it whenever they parked up on pavement. Is it just me or is that hilarious? Anyway, some crappy pics.

Maybe bad pics, but the model sure looks good to me, Russel! Nice job.

I like the weathering effect with the pastels. It’s my favorite way of weathering, plus I like how the barrel shroud came out.

Even with the pictures it still looks really good!

I’ll have some decent pics of the finished model up soon, it’s just waiting on antenna masts which are painted and ready. In other words, it’s waiting on my next modeling session, or me specifically. :sunglasses:

It’s finished, ready to go on a simple base.
