Taking paint off clear parts

Hello,

I have a quick question. I accidently sprayed clear coat on my Huey front windshield. Now that’s it’s there it looks like a natural dirty windshield. What can I use to clean of the part where the windshield wipers would normally clean the window. I’ve tried windex to no avail. I do not want to scratch the clear windshield. What would anybody normanlly use to clean enamel paint of clear parts.

Did you spray flat onto your clear parts? If so, instead of trying to clean it off, try brushing gloss coat over the area you want to look clean. It might work. Just a guess…

Simple Green and Easy Off will both remove enamels. I would practice on something old first, whatever method you choose. Just paint them on the area you want clean.

Yes it was flat clear.

I’m going to try both methods on a spare clear part. I will let you know if it works.
