taking a break

yep i am going to go and finish the last week of deer hunting here in georgia the season ends on jan 11. so that will give me a few days before the sherman group build starts. probally wasting my time in going but you never know what will happen out in the woods. all take care and dont get into to much trouble on the dark side.

Good luck, be safe…

and… “knock em dead”

My brother-in-law brought some deer sausage for christmas. Tasted good, but gave me gas. LOL

" wack 'em and stack 'em", as the “nuge” says.

Y’all must get a few extra days down on the flat lands, season ended up here on the 1st. Some friends were real mad about having to be on duty all day and not able to get in the woods. Good luck on getting a good one.

If you do get the trophy. You could post a picture of it.

Bambi? hahaha, get’m he’s really good with A1 sauce and over a flame grill.mmmmmmmmm

**Free meat,**Can,t beat it I used to catch a few bunnies with my ferrets and bagged a few with my shotgun but hunting in the UK is a bit limited compared to the USA, unless your after birds or your in a Zoo.[(-D]
Keep safe, Gotter.[:)]

it ain’t that free when you you think of costs. like our mulie trip this fall we had gas and hotels and meals, plus you have the cost of getting the meat processed and if you want to be very accurate with costs you have the bullets and your gun and your tags. we also bought some RM and topo maps, plus I’m getting mine mounted…nope i don’t feel like adding it up.

Sorry buddy I didn,t take into account all those hidden costs,
I saw Teds (Nugent) place on Cribs and assumed you could all walk outside and bag supper. By the way I gotta try me one of those hunting bows, wicked stuff.[8D]
Gotter.[:)]

yeah I just took that trip for an example. around here you can basically walk out the back door and shoot deer. (at least whitetail)(mulie you have to get drawn for and its usually the south end of the province) we usually have to drive 10-20 miles to get to our favorite hunting spots for whtetail.

you can’t beat wild meat though!!! elk is the best followed closely by moose (a calf is not as tough as a bull so its better)

As someone who hunts for a living (Outdoor Cameraman) 4 months out of the year, I wish you luck… It was fun for me the first couple of days but after 3 weeks in the field it DOES get old no matter how much you think you enjoy it…[:D] Be safe

Kenneth

yeah the last few days of hunting season around here when it gets really cold are very miserable!!! 1 of the few times I condone roadhunting!!![;)] last day of hunting season 3 years ago it was -42 C with the wind making it -57 C, it sends shivers up and down my spine every time I think about that day.

Although deer hunting is not always PC, I really LOVE hunters! I don’t hunt (deer) myself, but am sure glad those guys and gals get up at 0-dark:30 to go out and help keep the deer off my road and ON their plates! (I also love it when somebody I know who hunts has too much V-sausage!)

Good luck and yes… BE SAFE!

Ron.
