Ok so im building this TA-4K from AZ Models. OMG worst kit ive ever worked on. flash everywhere, the slots for the wings on the fuselage are full of overrun. the holes for the tail plane are filled in. nothing (An i mean NOTHING) fits. sooooo frustrating. But anyway, thats not what this is about.
My problem. theres a spot behind the cockpit on the top of the fuselage that doesn’t make sense. one half of the fuselage is raised. the other is sunk. Its a spot in the bit between the red strobe and the canopy hump. does anyone actually know what this is? i cant seem to find any clear photos of what it actually is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
After looking at my reference material that I haved on the A-4, it is really not explained but it is seen in a few views of booth the TA-4, E&F versions(more towards the rear tail).
Just by looking at the pix, the indent that you are referring to is the “Air outlet” vent. Hope this helps and do not let this build get to ya!! Stay strong [;)]
thanks guys, i rang my dad and he confirmed its an air outlet to avoid overpressure in the engine.
Im tryin to stay strong, but its testing my patience i swear. I have to have it done by 15th September so it can fly up with mel when she goes to see her parents. Hopefully if i persevere i can have the fuselage closed up this weekend.

well, shes closed up, with all the weight i had to put in the nose to get her to sit right she weighs a ton. Ive been sorta making it up as i go along because the instructions are about as usefull as tits on a bull. Oh well. hopefully ill have the wings on by the weekend. The gold paint isnt very good. but its the right colour (its a bit darker than most people paint this bird) Only problem is anywhere ive painted i cant mask because the masking tape peels the paint off in big sheets. Oh well. one nightmare at a time.
