does someone know something about this kit. In Europe it will be available in April for about 100 EURO. For this price i would wonder if the trax are not made of rubber? It would be a good counter part to the TIger … if one could make this kit radio controlled.

It’s not only big but will also come with all interior details. I’ve seen a picture of it and saved it on my HD, but too bad there’s no “attach photo” option here (except for photo already on the Web). It’ll be difficult to make it into RC kit because of crammed interior
(seats, projectiles, engines, etc.) Sure I’d like to have one once available in Thailand. 
Hope it wont be made of resin. Hope you know the word resin, it’s the material of which the models from Verlinden are made.
I’m surprised Tamiya hasn’t done a T34/85 RC. It would be the logical compliment to the Tiger and Pershing. WW2 and Korea. But one with full interior sounds real sweet!
That does look like a really nice kit , saw pics of it in a previous post. I agree with the comment on resin tanks , resin is so hard to work with ,all that sanding just never seems to come out right . Resin does offer much crisper details , if you can deal with airholes every now and then . I may actually buy this one at some point . Looks like it may be worth it .
If it’s an extension of the built-up sample Trumpeter 1/16 T-34/85 we have in my LHS, it’ll be injection plastic with excellent single link tracks.
Certianly seems like the plan to me too from what I’ve read.
This isn’t one of those fully RC kits, though, is it? Particularly if it has full interior. I assume it’s static, or at most a very simple on/off motorized.
Panzerpabst, no worries, resin is the word in English too. Depending on the kit, I often find resin to actually be easier to work with than styrene! But a bad resin kit is indeed a challenge to build – and I don’t mean that in a good way.
I’ll take a full interior over RC any time! Sorry guys, RC doesn’t do a thing for me…
Is there a link to take a look at this thing? I was lucky enough to drive a T-34 once, a pain in the butt (literally), but still fun!

Robertmoe, the T-34 was presented to a museum in Wisconsin back in the 90’s by the Soviets. I had several chances to drive it, which I took. The vehicle has a clutch that would kill a rhino… talk about a leg workout! I’ve driven Shermans, Stuarts (manual trannys) and such, but nothing was like the T-34. I have no idea if the tank is on display anywhere right now (it was supposed to be in a museum in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin… up in ‘Door County’)… but who knows. When I saw it last, it was in great condition, still running and ready to go!

Ron, I think this explains why RC means so little to you. I can see why a little tank rolling around and making little rumble noises would just be a source of amusement for you. [(-D]
I also prefer static display models, but those new Tamiya RC kits have lots of neat bells and whistles. For those of us who don’t get to drive the real thing, that is!
Closest I’ll ever get to that is by association – my father was in a heavy AAA unit in WWII (90mm AA guns), and he drove Dragon Wagons a great deal, which they used to drag the guns around (go figure – Dragon Wagon wasn’t really a prime mover for artillery, but that didn’t stop his unit – so much for what “should” be towing what).
Larry, et al… I really have nothing against RC, I just prefer interiors. Even as a kid, I pulled the motors out of Tamiya kits, blocked up the motorization holes and put in what I thought the interior should look like.
AND!!! WOW! Does this ever look like a nice kit. My BP must’ve gone up ten points just looking at the test shots. I think this is going to be another ‘nobody can make just one’ kit! They even have the Cristie suspension system springs in the spring wells where they belong. From what I can see, it’s very accurate. The fuel lines look a bit beefy, but they can be replaced with brass wire or something. Also, the T-34 I drove was reworked in the 1970’s before being retired and had a post WWII heater in it, but what wasn’t there in WWII isn’t ‘missing’ is it!
All in all, I CAN’T WAIT to get my little grubbies on one of these! Do I sense another group build coming on!?

Holy Hand Grenade, I thought we were just getting an '85! This makes this even cooler for me. I actually prefer the '76. This might be old news to the rest of you, but it’s the first time I’ve heard that the 76 was being done.
The interiors look great so far. Trumpeter may actually trump Tamiya on this. I think a lot of us are like Ron – better to have a great interior than the R/C ability.
I just hope they figure out a way to cleverly make the external fuel tanks. That is a cons tant headache with Russky tank kits – a bloody giant seam running right down the middle. [:0]
Sounds like a cool kit. Maybe good old FSM will have a workbench review. Hahahahaha, I forgot, they only do wingy-thingys.
