I’m looking for a complete set of T-55 roadwheels, any make. I guess any T-34 (late model starfish wheels) through T-62 roadwheels would work. Got a kit in a trade minus road wheels. If you replaced yours with resin ones and have the originals left over, I can use them. I have lots of Abrams, M113, other armor extras and 1/35 helo parts and weapons that I can trade for them.
I have a Tamiya Su-85 ( the early one with the motor holes in the back) and they didn’t send the poly caps for the ends of the road wheels. Thus, unless I can find some poly caps from a Tamiya T-34 of Su-85, I am kind of screwed. Will those road wheels help?
bismark9,
Thanks for the offer, but I believe the Tamiya SU-85 has solid faced roadwheels. If this is the case, they will not work. T-55 had the starfish wheels with ribs and holes on them, like this.
CaptainCaveman,
Already tried that route with Tamiya. They don’t have any of the T-55 roadwheel sprues in stock and don’t expect any for 8-10 weeks, maybe. Doesn’t sound promising.
Anthony14,
I don’t want to pay $15 for a set of roadwheels when I only put out $5 for the kit. It is the old and weak Skif kit. The only redeaming quality is that it has a pretty complete, yet lacking in detail interior to go from for superdetailing. I plan on doing this up as a detroyed Iraqi tank.
