I’m building a Russian T-34 and was wondering what shade of green comes close to WWII Russian Armor Green? I’m not a very good paint mixer and prefer to use spray cans; if possible. Any suggestions? Please?
Russian armor green you say…well if you don’t want to mix paints, then check out ModelMaster Russian Armor Green its avaiable in both enamel and acrylic.
Vallejo Russian Green or Tamiya NATO Green
Tamiya enamel dark green. # 1910
Russian paint varied greatly from factory to factory, once the model is weathered the color will change hue and intensity as well. Keep away from using yellow to lighten for weathering, use white or light grey instead.[I]
I used Model Master Topside Green which supposedly for aircraft. But I got a feeling it all cames form the same tractor factories so that works too.
Thanks for the tips guys! I usually build mostly British Armor (when I build Armor), with some American, and German thrown in occasionally. I haven’t tried too much Russian! I’m trying to get up to speed!

That was my first armor build, not very good, but gives you an idea of the color and how it “modulates” after dot filtering.
