t-34/85 slow progress

here are a couple more pics of my 1/16 t-34-- as you can see i am still working on the hull interior-- these pics are of the bulkhead that supports the steering, braking and shiftiing linkages and how they hook up-- this thing is a killin me!!lol[:D]–anyway, any comments always welcome-- thanks for looking–treadwell[:P]

[:O][:O]

No Way.

This is amazing.

I can’t imagine what the finished product will look like!

I got them safe and sound on my computer.

Nice work!!!

Dan

Nice detail work! Look forward the watching your progress.

Man you are putting a lot of work into this one! It is looking great! Keep it up!

Looks gorgeous so far. Keep them pic’s comin! [^]

I love it!

You can’t beat the amount of detail you can put in a 1/16th vehicle!

Looking forward to more…

One thing that really confuses me is that after you guys spend hours and hours putting the parts and details together, how do you guys paint it ?

Are those details not yet glued so it can be taken apart again for painting ?

Ben

WOW it looks really good, and that paint job is mind blowing. I can’t wait till I can get an 1/16 scale tank in the furture. I hope it turns out even greater!! [:)]

thanks for the nice comments guys[:D]–Carves, to answere your question about painting, much of what you see in the pics is just sitting there, not glued together-- the bulkhead i built is glued in, brake linkage support assembly is glued, and tranny mounts–but the transmission, brake drums, flywheel, starter motor ect are all removable, not glued to each other, and will be painted each separately-- even the lower brake control linkage is still removable and there are many more parts to be added![8D]-- thanks for looking-I just hope the top of the hull will fit when i am done!!–lol-- treadwell

It’s all a fraud, dont believe it at all. He is obvisously photoshoping images from the second world war of real tanks being produced… Colorize them, freshen them up, the works. IGNORE THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN LOLLOLOLLOLOLOLOL

Great work man. Bill

treadwell,
Thanks for the info, I got a feeling from the start that all of those things are impossible to paint when they are all glued. So I was kinna right that you guys just put them there just for test fitting most of the time and confuses the rest of us [:P]

Keep those photos coming and nice job …

Ben

Be in touch at weekend, good luck, nice work.

Regards,

Terry.

Great work. The more I look at the last/bottom picture, I would love to know how you made the flat round[ish] piece sitting on the hub with the linkage connected to the bottom. It looks like you made it out of styrene. I have a terrible time at circles. How did you make such a nice round shape and perfect center hole. [tup] I’m amazed!

hi matt-- [:D]-- the piece you are refering to is the steering clutch actuator-- thingy–lol-- i am no expert at scratch building-- it is new to me and i am learning as i go-- to build this piece i simpley measured the inside hub with a caliper–cut a hole with an undersize drill bit and then sanded it with 600 grit paper till it fit-- after i made 2 pieces with 2 holes i clamped them together and ‘carved’ the outside with an exacto #11 blade – to get 2 pieces that look the same-- it is .020 styrene from evergreen-- a better way to do it would’ve been with a drafting compass but i dont have one -yet-- thanks for looking[:P]-- treadwell

slow progress [;)] is good progress.

“Each piece a work of art, the final result…
A Masterpiece”

The “Masterpiece” is becoming evident.

Excellent work!

I’m [}:)] just saving my pennies for the eventual 1/16 th Tiger you just know will be on their future agenda.

Thanks for the tip. I will have to try that.

Treadwell, I got onto your build just recently…is this a completely scratchbuilt interior?? The tranny is nothing short of spectacular…what are your references? If you’re really scratching this model, we’re not worthy!!

hi drop-off-- just so there is no mis-understanding–this is trumpeters 1/16 t-34–i am only scratch building the missing details-- thanks for loking[:D]-- treadwell
