very cool … i can’t believe the engine started

Unbelivable, after nearly 60 years it still looks the same as it did in WW2, like if it was suspeded animation, and its a capture one too, now that even rarer.

Yeah, it’s very cool indeed–we’ve seen that here before, but it’s always good to revive the post for those who haven’t seen it!

Did you notice it was in German marings?

I enjoy seeing that when it pops up. THAT would make a very cool dio.

I watched this vid on youtube several times as it is really cool. Once I read in the comments that this Tank had not been there all those years , it had happened recently by a WWII reenactor group by an inexperienced driver. Anyone else ever hear the same or similar story ? I shudder everytime I see all those folks standing near those cables. None the less it still is cool to see the Tank.

it amazes me that there are still this many relics left that are being found today, but the again Russia is a big place!! I read an article in the Dec.2007 issue of a mag called Classic Military Vehicle (british mag) about a Faun zr 2x4 heavy tractor that was found in a lake bottom with its trailer too. Tehy were originally looking for a Bf 110 that was supposed to have crash landed on the lake in the winter of 1943. The plane has never been found but it still makes for an interesting recovery.

That remains me, in a museum in Nayton of a recover Mosquito (British 2 engine bomber) that had crash in a lake in normandy, they fix the plane and is display at the museum, I saw it and it looks good as new, but it doesn’t fly anymore.

I saw a documatry of some divers found a B-29 that was doing a experiment of sunlight or sometthing like that? but the plane went too low and three of the engines got damage at the lake surface, fortunatly the crew survive and took 4 hours to sink, The divers try to recover the rare instrument, but was never found. the plane is well preserve, but is damage from the crash, today its a tourist attraction.

I know this is about aircraft in the armor forum, but I wanted to share this info.
