T-28D After market /PE sets

Hello all,I just got an orginal 1/48 Monogram T-28D for a song…and I can’t sing worth a plug nickel. I think I saw an articel in FSM about “updates” for the T-28D as in resin and PE sets. Can anyone set me on the right path. The kit is not bad but there is alot of room for improvements. The cockpit and engine areas have lots of room for details.

BlackBox makes a resin cockpit set heres the link. I dont know if theres any PE stuff maybe someone else can steer you in the right diraction.

I have both versions of the BB sets and they are excellent. I already used the C kit and the fit was excellent. I did not get e resin engine for the T-28C, wish that I had, but the BB set has excellent detail in the front office. I think you will be happy with set. Here are a couple in progress pics.

Nice, very nice.More pictures please.I too am thinking about putting another engine in the cowl.I was in the Phillipines in 2000,we were at the former Clark AFB.It is now called Air Force City. They had 8 T-28Ds on the flight line for training. I got to walk all over the T-28s.Big A/C bulit like a Mack truck. I really enjoyed listening to 4 or 5 of them turning up in the morning, there is nothing like a radial turning up. Blap…Blap…Roar to life.

One last note on your bulid…MORE PICTURES PLEASE

That’s all the pics I took of that particular build, sorry. I have a “squadron” of PT-17 Stearmans hangared about a mile from my place. They fly several times a week and it is always a treat to hear the big radials coming overhead. Always hoped to get e ride in a T-28, maybe someday…
