I’m still looking for a T-28C for a ‘Lima Site’ dio and can’t find one. All other a/c are 1/48th; including an A-26, O2-A, T-6 and Courier. Seems as though no one remembers the "Ravens’ anymore. Help!size=6][/size=6]
DIDFAL.
Try E-bay. I was on there earlier today and noticed 3 or 4 listed.
You would have to go with aftermarket resin details for the wheel wells and cockpit. Those kits were good representations but, had toy-like features.

I think what you are looking for is the old Monogram T-28. It was first released in the late 50s or early 60s and definatly had some toy like features (operating landing gear and canopies). If I remember right, the first release was the USAF T-28A, silver w/a two bladed prop. A couple of years later the kit was released in yellow, with a three bladed prop as Navy T-28C. Think both kits had the origional low canopy. They have both been re-released several times over the last 40 years. I think it was re-released last summer by R/M as an A model but with the three bladed prop.
FYI, The Air Force first fielded the T-28A. It had a two bladed steel prop (which had a tendency to crack around the edges) and a 600 hp Wright R-1300 engine (highly reccommended as a boat anchor). Around 1954, the Air Force started to phase them out for the T-33. The Navy snagged about 300 of them, installed a 1000 hp Wright R-1830, a three blade Ham Standard prop and a higher canopy.
Monogram also released it as a RVN ground support a/c. That’s been on eBay a few times.
The ones that I saw on E-bay were the Navalised version, I believe.

Thanks for the info from everyone. It seems as though every manufacturer is ‘re-tooling’ and things are OOP. I’ll check Evil-Bay.
Monogram kit? I think I saw it in my local hobby store for 50$ is this a rip-off?
