this is my latest build, removed the air scoop on forward fuselage and the reinforcements on both side of the cockpit. removed the oval gun attachment on the bottom of both wings and scratched build the M260 rocket launcer form brass tubes and 7 hypodermic needles. decals are home made to represent the 15th Strike Wing of Philippine Airforce.

That looks really good- the weathering is just right. Those rocket pods look better than most kit parts or aftermarket products.

Excellent job! I rather love the Trojan. It was an airshow staple here where I live for years (before the airport went international and no longer holds air shows.) I think I may have to add one to the stash soon just for old time’s sake!

When the japanese invade Philippines during WWII, there are lots of tora-tora flying in the sky. When americans came with their T-28s, it looked very similar to japanese tora-toras and i think thats why it was called tora-tora.

Very nice build. I have a soft spot for the T-28, also. My first Civil Service job after getting out of the Navy was for VT-3 at Whiting Field, Florida, where we did minor ground maintenance on these Trojans. Thanks for sharing your beautiful model.

I remember seeing this plane in action dive bombing at Camp Aguinaldo and firing those rockets …awesome paint/decal job

Thanks to the movie on the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor - Tora Tora Tora, because after that local folks called combat planes in the air force with propellers Tora Tora and for the T-28s the name stuck.

The T-28 was a great plane to fly. I remember it well from my days in VT-6 NAS Whiting. A lot of noise and oil is what i remember in those morning launches. Nice job on that model …I am getting ready to start a T-28b build.

First aircraft squadron I was assigned to when I was in the Navy (VT-27 NAS Corpus Christi - 1973 - 1977) I still “work” on my very own T-28B (Park Zone electric RC)
