I’m getting ready to do a run of 3-5 currently operating Syrian Arab Air Force aircraft. These seem to be a very under-supported segment of modern aircraft, as far as references and aftermarket go, and I was just wondering if anybody had links to paint sets or- even better- a decent clue of Tamiya mixes for these colors.
Thanks!

Edit
I’m specifically referencing the sand/green/blue-grey seen on the Mig-21’s they are currently using, like this pic:
I don’t know of any paint sets that deal with Syrian colors. Since it’s been a client state of the former USSR/modern Russia, you might be able to get close with Soviet era colors. AKAN makes a series of sets for Soviet, Russian, Iranian, and Israeli paints in both acrylic and laquer (available in the States through Linden Hill Imports). Hataka also makes paint sets for various countries and conflicts in acrylic and laquer as well. There’s also the Vallejo line of acrylics. Something tells me that you’re just going to have to find a good pic and try to match it. I have a feeling you’ll be either buying a lot paint trying to match it or doing a lot of mixing until you are happy. When you start looking at paint look at the armor and sci-fi colors as well, not just the aircraft colors. Hope this helps.
I would tell you to get Model Masters version of the blue green Soviet cockpit color, but unfortunately it’s no longer available as it was part of their foreign colors series. Vallejo makes it as well, but it appears a bit too bright on my phone screen. Nothing that a little weathering couldn’t knock down however.
