SWEET SCORE AT HOBBYTOWN

Yesterday I went to Hobbytown and picked up a DML JU-88G-1/G-10 for $25. That is two really good finds there in the last month. My other one was a DML JU-188E at the same price.[:D]

You did good, congrats. Wish we had one here.

Congrats on the score. Nice kit, especially at that price.

Regards, Rick

My Hobbytown was selling the Tamiya P-51B for $35… [:(].

Still not as bad as Hobby Lobby charging $80 for the Tamiya Mosquito…

/only go there for paint and glue…and even then rarely

Doogs - you should only go to Hobby Lobby when thye have the 40% off any item coupons. THey send one out by e-mail nearly every week or so. Sometimes it’s 40% off some type of specific item (like scrapbooking items), but usually off any item that’s not already on sale.

I have a Hobby Town close to me and it is great for paints and such but kit selection is not too great at all. I’ve bought some models there but it really is a second rate place. Does not belong on the same planet with the best I’ve been to. Some HT’s are really garbage.

Just go on the Hobby Lobby web site and print the 40% coupons that are featured monthly for a week or two.

Granted, Hobbytown is’nt the best with selection. It would seem that in this case they bought someone’s stash and put in up for sale. I can’nt say for sure, but there were some kits on the shelf that are no longer in production. Most of the time I only go there to get paint supplies since I prefer Ebay for kits now.[proplr]

There was a 50% off coupon for michaels for the holiday weekend I decided to go. got something I never saw before. 1/72nd sikorsky CH-54A Skycrane. Such an odd design I couldnt pass it up, 20$ then 50% off, so I got that plus some oils to try that technique chuckW is always promoting and the thinner for it, the dot filter, and a wooden base for a project, all for under 20$
