Sweet C-5

I found this last year and here it is again. I finally found it. http://homepage.swissonline.ch/PMojzisek/My%20Gallery/IPMS%20UK%2099/IPMS%20UK%2099%204.htm

That thing would never get off the ground. I can’t belive my eyes. COOL idea thougth.

1/72?!! that thing must be huge! i’ve seena real one and couldn’t belive it, i dout that c-5 would fly, and i doubt that there is a need for 2 c-5s, a c-5 can carry an m1! or six lavs

i have a c-5, not sure what scale it it, but the doors are about 1/2 a cm tall

gotta love creative ideas… thanks for sharing

t3488g, you probably have a 1/144 kit either the original from Otaki (the one I have) or it was rereleased by Revell.
The only 72nd C-5 is a vacuform kit.

It had the space shuttle in the middle, and with those engines I am sure it would get off the ground. [(-D][(-D]

That, plus the combined lift from those two huge wings…only makes you wonder what happens when the shuttle detaches

not otaki not revell,[:D] i can’t remember the name but it was in a black box, and it was not a popular company because i had never heard of it. starts with a “s” maybe?
it has a length of10 1/2" and a wingspan of 9".

The shuttle isn’t exactly a light bird - and I’d have to wonder at the choice to place it’s highly delicate wings and fuselage so close to two massive jet engines which could and would blow all sorts of nasty things into its skin!

Still, I suppose this is purely fantasy…and for that it is WAY cool! Phil, where was this thing last night? We could have used it!

Bri~

that is a sweet build.

I’m just blown away by the detail in the 1/72nd bi-plane - I don’t think that it’s a Hind though.

Brian,
Probably still in England. [:D]
It would have fit though.

That Tornado was… different! Thanks for sharing!

She did a great job on that C-5+ build… the best part about it is how unique a subject it was… it flies alright, I can close my eyes and see that thing lumbering off of the end of the runway… that’s part of the fun of the what-ifs I think.
