I’m gonna be starting a project soon, I’m gonna build a 1/48 P-51D in the colors of Zircus Rosarious, basicly, a mustang captured by the luftwaffe. I’ve got my refference material ready to go, paint scheme picked out. I went through the spare decals and found all the crosses I need…but no swastikas. So, I hate to beg but does anyone have a few extra swastikas that will fit on the tail of a 48th scale mustang they can spare? If I have to I will, but I’d rather not pay $13 for a decal sheet I dont need and I only want 2 swastikas. This is my ultimate goal for the tail swastika.
I have lots of 1/72 Swastika’s including larger ones for bombers which might do the trick. If can give me an idea of what size they need to be i can check mine. I’ve never built 1/48 so have no idea how big they would need to be.
I have a set of 1/72 marking from cutting edge which has Allied aircraft flown by the Germans and includes the markings for the P-51 your doing. So i knw what style they need to be and how mutch of the tail they cover. So if you can give me a size for yours i will see what i have.
I have plenty of 1/48 scale spares if that is the scale you are building in. I would be happy to drop a couple in an envelope for you if that is what you are after.There are several different variations,. from the picture you have posted they appear to be solid black swastika’s. drop me a PM with your addy and I’ll sent them off to you.
I have some 1/2" solid black ones. Not sure if soulcrusher is any closer to you than me, drop me a PM if you want these ones. The ones i am thinking of are in the top left of the pic and are 1/2" straight across. Do these look ok for what you need.
