Hey all…i was wandering what was the basic colors of the superchargers found on aircraft such as the P-38j…i was wanting to do a “burnt” look…so i would appreciate any and all help.
I posted a topic recently on Bristol Exhaust Colours. I bet there would be similarities in the colours of these things.
The superchargers on the P-38 should be rust color, just like the ones on the underside of the B-17 engine nacelles. [;)] Look at any color photo and you can see this, even on new aircraft. It only took a few days for the bare metal to acquire this patina.
