HEY,
Do any of you guys have any pics in your endless archives of a supercharger on a V8? Im working on Building a custom Pikes Peak racer from an old nascar kit, and im gonna scratchbuild a supercharger for it. I need pics though.

Randy,have you tryed the local libaray and if you have a speed shop around go there and ask if you can take a pic of it.I wish that I had some pics to give you,even thought I don’t this info might help you.Digger

My town diesnt have a library and the nearest town that does is huge, so id never find it. There aint no speed shops that deal with cars, only bikes and off-road stuff. Thanks for the ideas though.

Use a good search engine and look for Paxton Superchargers ( they manufactured the smaller equipment for small block engines). Also try the websites for the various racing associations such as the NHRA. Try plugging in Pike’s Peak Racing and see what you find.
If it’s an old blower-type supercharger, they frequently used GMC 671 blowers from diesel trucks. This is from back in the days when purpose-built blowers weren’t available. Go to Google and search for GMC 671 and you’ll get a lot of hits. Here’s a link with some good pix
