Superb Jagd Tiger, destroyed Panzer IV and icy Tiger I

Hi all! Just a little link for all those who don’t frequent missing-lynx.com often.

First an excellent looking Jagd Tiger by a very talented Robert Ferreira

And second, an extremely well done destroyed Panzer IV, which is modelled after a photograph of an actual vehicle, made by also very talented Miguel Jimenez

Finally a very creative diorama of a Tiger 1 trying to ford a frozen river, also by Miguel Jimenez:

those are some nice models. I wonder what that guy used for ice???

Could be resin, I think…

I can’t remember if it was this, or another “icy” dio I saw, but someone had luck using wax (for preserving canned foods), since the upper surface would show that “fozen, somewhere between snow and ice look” once the wax hardened…

Fantastic works! Really love the knocked-out Pz IV and have been considering something similar for the future (when my skills improve!).

that destroyed pz4 was in GSM 2003

i always feel sorry for the tiger going for its cold bath!![V]

He used parafin wax , I used it in a dio I did a bit back for the Panther build , you break it in peices once it is hardened and pour clear resin around it , it looks just like broken ice

Wow, those are fantastic! The “ice” looks like parafin to me, but who knows. But it sure looks cold!! Brrrrr!

Crazy stuff. I go to the site on and off. Most of the work I find there is just out of this world

That Panzer is incredible. Looks like it drove into a hornets nest of Shermans.

WOW!! I’d like to know how to do ice like that…

Gawd… that knocked out Pz IV is just amazing… Where did he get all those PE parts?

Yeah, ironic really, I was just looking at the 2003 fsm lol

white candle wax for ice! Just my suggestion.

Really cool stuff, thanks Michael.

What amazes me is not the amount of photoetched parts but the scratchbuilt (styrene) detail. This guy must have taken the construction drawings of the real thing and copied all of it in 1/35. I’m just totally in awe here. And the paintjob on that Jagdtiger is also something to behold[8D]. Very very nicely done. That site gets added to the bookmarks[:D]. Thanks 4 sharing.

Heeeeey! Een mede Hollander! Don’t get many around this neck of the woods! I think there’s about 5 of us floating around… Nice to see you here!

Only 5? I think we need to spread the word[;)]
