Super Detail Group Build 1st November to 30th April 05

The commonwealth GB is going to start shortly. I will be going ahead with my CHally 2. I can get references online, and I will use the recent issue of Tamiya Model Mag as a guide, as I can work from some of the details I see from there. I’ve attempted to find update sets, but all I found was one from Accurate Armour, and that is a little too pricey for me, so I will be replacing as many parts as I can with scratchbuilt ones.

AFV Modeller magazine did an extreme detail walkround feature on the Chally 2 in issue 17. Well worth a look!

Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately, since this month is turning out to be a lot busier with school and work that I thought, I’m going to have to drop out of this GB. Sorry guys, and I hope the rest of you have fun with it.

No problem. If things quieten down later in the year feel free to come back! Thanks for posting

I’ve just managed to get hold of a copy of this months fsm. The cutaway 109 is truely amazing. I think I shall be a bit less adventurous and just have a go at exposing the cockpit area…hmmmm[;)]

Hi folks,
Only a few weeks to go until this GB starts. To join this GB you don’t have to do anything really fancy. Its a place to learn those scratchbuild techniques and share them with others.
Feel free to get on board!

This GB has now started. I’ve got quite a busy schedule til the end of Nov so I’ll update when I can.

I forgot about this GB…! Gosh, so many GBs so little time! Good thing my IS-3 has been started 6 years ago… LOL…! I’ll be re-starting it after Mad Allied Day this week end. It is a Mad hobby!

I know the feeling! I started an EE Lightning back in August thinking I’d get it built and out of the way before this GB starts. Now its November and its still primer grey!!! Where did September and October go?

Who knows!!

Where did the year go??

WOW count me in on this group build , I love scratchbuilding I recently just finished scratching an all new cockpit for fujimi’s 1/72 stuka , so I’m up for my next challenge, put me done for giving the old Aifix 1/72 P51 D/K a new face lift with a new cockpit , wheel wells , and Maybe some dropped flaps?

Oh man I didn’t see the dates on this thing, its already finished! Maybe you could re-open it and continue because I’d love to do this group build!!!

I bought this is at the beginning of April and started just after registering for the forum late in April but did not finished until a week or so ago. Does it still count if I at least started in April? It is a 1/48 Hasegawa 109G-6 w/resin & PE engine and pit. Tires “weighetd down” with a candle, control surface cut out and repositioned hanging down

Like stuka said maybe you could re-open this GB?

Hey wing-nut that looks amazing and as can clearly be seen you put a lot of work and time into that model great job and thanks for sharing it in this forum!

Maybe if it doesn’t re-open we could start a new one ??.. just a thought!?

Hey, looks like this GB didn’t get anything finished? I tried to do a cutaway GB a while back couldn’t get enough interest. I guess a super detailed GB with cutaway included would be a good idea. I’ll be in if we want start a new GB, I already have a Japanese figher picked out.

Could we re-open this maybe? I would be interested in joining.

Well, looks like we have 4 interested so far, be nice to get just a few more to get a real GB going. Maybe starting around Sept/05 and ending Sept/06 - giving people a enough time and breathing space to join in?

BTW Wingnut, great looking engine.
