Super Detail GB. Start date: December 2005 End Date: When the last guy finishes.

I know there was one already but it seems to have died. The thing with this is, you’d be able to share this GB with another one. Makes life easier I think. So y’all can reply if you’re interested. we’ll figure out start and finish dates (or lack thereof) later. Basic ground rules would be that it actually has to be superdetailed, or majorly (not a word) modified. So I request that you don’t add 2 wires to the cockpit and call it superdetailed. AFV’s would be allowed as well of course.

Id be interested tanky. So on a plane, can the cockpit be detailed, and thats it,or does the whole a/c have to be detailed?Anyway,id be interested/

I’ve got a few kits that I’d like to do a fair bit of detailing on, so if this build gets off the ground, I’ll be in. If you’re allowing conversions, I could enter the Academy F86-F Sabre converted to an Aussie CAC Avon Sabre (if I can get the conversion set). I haven’t done a big detail job for a while, so this could be fun…

Id deffinetly be interested. I am planning on doing alot of work to my italeri opel blitz. We need a general rule though, like, must have at least one pe set or a resin set or something. that way people dont just add the wires and call it detailed.

Hey man I’m very interested in this idea count me in! also when you say super detailing can that be scratchbuilt detail instead of PE?

Of course. So I’m glad to see we have some interest already. I’ll post this on the other forums too to generate more interest just to make sure it’s definitely a go.

I’d be intrested in joining in on this, if I can use my own resin components for my builds. Either aircraft or AFV, as I have my Centurion Mk V/I Aussie Vietnam Era conversion for a Centurion III kit, or a couple of Birds.

I’ll be interested, I too tried to get the last one going, but like you said, died a prematrue death. Hope this one gets more interest. I would love do a cut-away airplane.

those are so cool! The guy who had the ones in FSM, WOW! I really enjoyed them.
It would be great to see a forum member do one.

What about kits that come with a complete interior, and we add some (limited) scratched detailing?

Anyone still interested in this, we have 7-8 responses initially. Everyone thinks thats enough to start this thing?

I’m interested. I have a few kits sitting in my stash that I would like to super detail. Not sure if I want to go the Aber insanity route…but I just might.

OK, ya know what, looks like we’re good to go. The dates shall be determined by common consensus. (The start date that is. with the superdetailing I’m disinclined to post an end date.)

Count me in. I have several models with PE and resin waiting for an excuse to go. Winter will be here soon so I will have plenty of time to do this.

Hmm, I might be in on this. I have a couple of directions I could go.

I’m also interested. I’ve got a Trumpeter Mi-24 Hind with Cobra Company resin sets and an Eduard photoetched set. I’m also going to add some scratchbuilt stuff like hydralic lines for the landing gear. When’s the start date? I would like to get started pretty soon so that’s the only thing that might keep me out of this build.

Not sure about the start date. I’d liek to get some ideas from mebers about when theyd like to start. (A patch would ne nice too. [:D])

I’ll be busy till around mid December or January.

I am fairly open on dates. All I have going now is the Cold War GB and I am at the 25% stage with it. After hunting season would help. That is until November 27. Otherwise I am ready to go!

I’m in a GB now till December and have another starting in March. So frankly sometime in December would be prefered for myself. But that’s just me.
