Suggestion for a GB, need feedback

Hey all, what if we did a Jagdpanther GB? I think it would be kinda cool to do one since I’ve never heard of any Jagdpanther GB’s before, and I, like a few others, happen to like the jagdpanther[:D]. We could narrow it down to a specific unit or a specific battle(IE, a specific camo job the tank was painted in at that time) So let me know what you think!

Here would be the guidelines:

1.Must be a Jagdpanther, any scale
2. Can be in service with any country
3. Can be affiliated with other builds
4. AM and PE are OK
5. Scratchbuilding is OK
6.( heres a new one) Must share info about the Jadgpanther to show what youve learned and to help out other modelers with their builds[:D]
I know Im forgeting some stuff

Time frame would probably be october or november to sometime in march or later

So tell me what you think![:D]

thats not new, it was a main thing on the Sherman, Tiger and Panther group builds when the group builds started

Just to get this out there, Dragon makes a great early Jagdpanther with metal barrel and PE screens…

Not to be a wise guy here, but #2, how many different countries fielded the Jagdpanther?

It could be a captured Jagdpanther, they were excellent AFVs, and crews did use captured tanks-Coldstream Panther (is that right? its cold something)

Rob, I think the Russians used them, I know they had some German Panthers. Possibly could have been used by the Czech republic after the war, I know they had some german stuff.

Jon, you mean like they are at over at the LEM! Not, start now end whenever! lol, I hate that so much!

I think the question pertains to Germany’s Allies. I wouldn’t think that they would have gotten any, they were just too good to give up.

Wish I could hop in with my Tamiya Late, but I need to get some others finished up first. Bummer, the Jagdpanther is my favorite TD. Look forward to some great builds.

No i meen like they were over here on FSM, do a search
im sure theres still help in the many group builds going on now, you just need to ask, ive got loads of books on Panthers, do i have to scan every page and post them?

Ok, so how many people think I should get this going?

Give me some suggestions on what units or whatever, it could be based upon. If you want to be able to build just any Jagdpanther, thats cool too I guess, but we all have to agree on it first, I want this to be a difinetive build, not a big broad, in your face GB that no one wants to join![:D]

Or we could do what Cpt Caveman said on the other postr of this in the GB forum, we could do it on early mid or late prod, waht cha think bout that?

Are there kits for mid production? Ive only seen kits for early and late, but then again…
I think you should do it, if you post a far off start date, people will join late, thats what happened to my 234 build, people are still joining it

I agree, lets give it a later start date. I like the idea of any Jagdpanther, but it would be neat to have them from a specific battle.

I stand corrected, according to Actung Panzer website, a number of French army units were equipped with Jagdpanthers into the 50s.

Sounds like a pretty good idea to me. A good old fashioned GB. Can’t commit myself, but hope it all goes well for you.
