Too bad I was in a hurry to this kit - it truly shows. Spent a week building and using an eduard PE set on the italeri Mirage 2000C kit. The decals (two bobs) took a week to apply, but well worth the effort. I will redo this kit someday as I think the italeri kit is pretty good and I just love the paint sceme. Something has to be said about the Tiger meet scemes, they are just so creative. I will spend some time not screwing up each and every subassembly and do proper research.
It wasn’t so much that the decals took a week, but the amount of micro-sol I had to use to get them to set properly on the compound curves and some of them took several applications. Then there was the 2 or 3 decals to make a single graphic. can’t rush this stuff - as much as I wanted to :0)
Thank you all. The photos belie the physical. When I got to the decal stage, I found that I had to break off the canards and probes to put on the decal around the intake trunks. Invariably, they never go back on the same way.
thevinman - that does look like a real cool paint scheme. I wonder if they do that in 48th?
