The kit supplied tracks have seized to be, they have gone to meet their maker.
They are x-tracks!
I am looking to replace the box supplied tracks with a metal upgrade.
I’d like to replace the shells aswell but can find no maker.
Anyone out there who knows if there is some available?
That’s good, I like the X-Tracks of Armor thing[(-D][(-D] Sort of reminds me of ahhhh vanilla, yeah vanilla.
If you haven’t tried the Fruilmodel tracks, they’re GRRRRREAT![:D] Just replace the supplied track pin wire with brass rod. The tracks will stay together. Save the wire for head light wiring and other things. The fruil wire is easily bent, but is more rigid than copper. I even use it for the German MP40 folding stock. It can be soldered together. HTH

Thanks guys, unfortunately I had no luck with either of these.
The build review promised for the next issue of FSM might increase the interest enough to make Friul go for the bait.
Then again it might just completely saw it, I will wait and see.
The suspension including road wheels and tracks are the weekest part of the kit, the rest turns out quite nice.
I have posted a couple of updates in the Hunters thread, I intend to complete the build there.
A short summary:
The ambition of MiniArt seems to have been to produce a highly detailed kit using standard moulds.
Therefore you find a number of tiny, badly moulded parts that need loads of cleanup where you nowadays expect to find resin, alu, or etched brass.
There is a general lack of positioning guidance, the main gun comprises 2 halfs but you get no positioning lugs.
The undercarriage suffers heavily here, you need to guess at what angle the road wheel arms need to be positioned.
Having done all that, which is not very complicated to be honest, you get a little gem of a kit.
The Shells look crap and the tracks are melting or breaking but as I said earlier, this might be covered by After Market supply after the upcoming review in FSM.
