Is this kit any good? I enjoy a challenge, as I am planning on converting the 1/48 flanker to an su33 so I think I may get this so I can work out the dimensions.

Yeah you were right, raised is the right way. Hmm I still might get one eve to use it as a sort of scale plastic blueprint as I have no plans. for the conversion. The Hasegawa offering is no doubt a good kid but really expensive here in the UK.

In Brazil it is also very expensive, way is to buy from china … ha ha ha
Dean, it’s a decent kit but nothing exceptional. Assuming that it is dimensionally correct, it would be perfect for your needs but I believe there’s some subtle LERX differences between this kit and later versions of the real thing that might annoy you.
