I hope someone can help me out on this one. Some time ago I mentioned I was starting an SU-27B based on the Ace Combat 4 aggressor “Yellow 13”. Well here is my dilemma, I need to scratchbuild the canards and extend the leading edge wing roots. Well, i found a site for Flankers some time ago and the guy who did the site had pictures on how he did it. I emailed him to try and find out if he did it the way I was planning on doing it, he never got back to me and now I cant seem to access the site anymore. My question is, has anyone done this basic conversion and what methods were incorporated into it? I already have the canards fashioned from an old pair of 1/72 scale F-14 horizontal stabilizers, I know that I need to build up the roots with styrene and putty, but any other info on how it could be done would be great! Thanx for any and all input![%-)]
Mmmm… what kit are you trying to convert?.. I know that the Airfix kit is the most accurate (I’m talking about shape, not fit)… well here’s a link: http://www.lindenhillimports.com/seaflanker.htm it’s about the Sea Flanker… but as we know, the Sea Flanker have these canard wings…
