WOW! What a fantastic build that is!
Toshi
Great build! I can honestly say that this is a model I’ve never seen before.
Good job on this one, a nice rendering of something different. Mr. Big Hands admires your 1/72 work!
Max
Thanks Toshi, WannabeFarmboy and Max for your kind compliments! I really appreciate them!
Great model and great photographs.
Nice Flagon! It must still be pretty big in 1/72 scale. Nice website, too. Great way to show all your artwork.
Don and Befudled, thanks for your kind compliments! I really appreciate them!
Befudled, the Flagon is not pretty big. I think it’s smaller and leaner than the A-5 Vigilante. Thanks for mentioning my website which is 18 years old now. Only a few of the artwork shown there were built by me, most of them were built by so many artists - some quitted some time ago but 5-6 artists are still working for me (for as long as my stash goes).
According to the wiki the Su-15 is 64ft 2 in long, while the F-4E was 63 ft long. The wing span for the Su-15 is 30 feet and wing area is 395 ft^2. The F-4E is 38 ft, and 530 ft^2. So I’d say the Su-15 has dinky wings on it.
EDIT: Base wing loading on the F-4E is 78 pounds/square foot, on the Su-15 its 102 pounds/square foot. So it really does have dinky wings.
Thanks for your information and comparison, seasick. How about max weapon capacity and top speed? Does leaner mean faster?
