Sturmtiger shells - need help

(am reposting as previous post disappeared)

Am waiting for Tamiya 1/35 Sturmtiger and in the meantime have received the aluminium shells. I need to get some of the wooden transport sleeves for the shell but don’t know if any come with the kit. I have seen pics of Mr Models and Royal Models shells, but cannot tell if the sleeves are separate or part of the casting. Any help?

the resin shells from royal models and Mr models have the sleeves as part of the cast and not separate,
the Tamiya shells will need the guide lugs added on the sides, they fit into the rifling

While your’e here - do you know if the Jagdtiger used the standard or heavy MG34 on the rear deck?

the photos ive seen are normal air defence MG34

the books published in Poland, ill be interested in the price? mine was £13.99 but ive seen it more on historex at £16

I also thought 34 but over at ML they are saying its a 42 - very confusing

Re the shells: Have ordered some .5mm and 1mm thick lime wood strip (2mm diameter) That and some spare PE for strap should do it. Will post a howto if it works out ok
