Stuka

I am building a Stuka from scratch and I can’t seem to find any good web sites for details on this aircraft, ie engine cockpit act. Can any body help with some good links?
Thank you[:p]

Scratch Stuka! Sounds like an interesting project. What scale are you going to do it in?
I can’t imagine that there aren’t any good sites out there. I don’t know any myself, but geez, I’d imagine just typing “Stuka” into any search engine would get you a million different sites. Or is that the problem? Too many?
Also try posting this in the Aircraft forums, if you haven’t already. Some of those folks are bound to know a good site or two.

G’uday Shinano,
There is a book called Cockpit that contain several good images of the interior of the Stuka. There is also a drawing with a key to all the dials, pushey/pulley bits and switches. The book is in the office and when i get there I will check out the ISBN Number and pass it on.

Here’s a site with a few pics. :

There are only 2 interior shots, both B&W, of a B or R cockpit.

Which are you building? The 3 major varients are the A, B/R, and D/G. I have some color pics of the D/G interior, if you’re interested.

Good luck on the project !

Hello, I have checked Google and surpisingly there was not too much, usually I get tons of results, not much this time.
I will build it in 1/16, I can take a 1/32 model and use that as a guide to help in the calculations. I want to use all the info I have gathered in this site, I want lots of detail and I want it BIG. It will be a huge project, but I beleive it will be worth it.
Is there such a big difference in the cockpit detail between the models?
Thank you for all your help.

My dad has an R/C Stuka that was built in Germany and was previously owned by a Stuka pilot. I can take some photos and send them to you if you think it would help.

Regards, Dan

Hello boybuddho, that would be great! If you could concentrate on the cockpit and engine that would be very helpfull.
Thank you all,
Sand

Here’s a pic of a 1/48 Hasegawa Ju 87G-2 cockpit with Eduard photoetch that I’m currently building, if its any help.

That’s really good detail Pixx, maybe if I pay attention I can come close to that level of detail.

Thanks, shinano. Here’s a pic of the “winter coat” that she’s wearing. It will be in Hans Rudel’s markings.
