Any body know of some good chemicals for striping tamiyas paint with no clear coats off on old P-61 radial?
I’ve used oven cleaner successfully in the past. Spray it on, wait a few minutes and gently scrub with an old toothbrush. If it’s not coming off yet, spray some more on a give it a little more time and try again.
If they are acrylic then I’ve had luck with windex.
Simple Green works on acrylics too.
They say the best stripper out there is the Castrol Super Clean, but I have yet to try it.

model master acryl solvent with a q-tip gets dried paint moving in a hurry. i dont know if it will attack plastic or not though. might could try it on some scrap first. later.
Thanks guys I Think I’ll soak it in some windex before i get out the rather toxic oven cleaner!
