stripes

What is the easiest way to put stripes on a bomb so that they are even. Its not like ive never done it before but if you all have any tips they would be helpfull.

HEY,
I know exactly what you are talking about. What i use is thin strips of masking tape and i mask off the stripes so i can paint them. Im sorry if i am not being very clear, it has been awhile since ive built a plane.

Modelkid,
If you’re working on a World War 2 model, check out reference photos of the bombs they used. I’ve noticed that not all the striping was picture perfect. In fact, some of them looked less than perfect. If you have a good thin brush and a fairly steady hand, a hand-painted line will look very realistic. Just a thought.

Here’s one method:

Paint the bombs yellow. Cut thin strips of masking tape. Place the tape where you want the stripes. Paint the bombs OD.

Modelkid,

Follow this thread, that very question came up with some pretty interesting results and techniques.
