With the cockpit complete and installed, I opened panel 3L and added some paint and wiring to a Verlinden resin avionics bay and put it in place.Next, I’m going to open up the gun bay.

Jerry, FANTASTIC! do you have two resin sets, or were you tricky and used photoshop? anyway, the build looks great. I can’t wait to see the gun bay!

Yes, I actually have two sets. Originally, I had a detail set for an F-15C in my stash, but since I’m building an E, I bought the correct resin set for the kit. Then, I discovered that panel 3L is basically the same for both. Plus, I’m sure it was easier for Verlinden. There are many differences between the two sets, but some items are common . I’m trying to use the best parts from both sets as long as they are accurate.

Hey Jerry,

Off to a great start so far. Do you have any pix of the instrument panesl by chance. The way you high lighted the interior and bay adds a nice touch.

So what markings are you going to put here in, possibly Semour johnson? Looking forward to seeing your build.

There’s a little bit of everything there Mike, washes, drybrushing, fading and some detail painting. Lots of dark colors but I never used straight black. Glad you like it.

Great looking cockpits and a superior job on the avionics bay. Love the small details such as the yellow labels that you recreated next to each cannon plug!!! Keep up the great work and please keep sharing it!!
