This is the 1/48 Revell kit with Aires pit, Verlinden avionics and gun bay, Hasegawa weapons, CMR AIM 120’s, and Twobobs Enduring Freedom decals. I had a ball with this one.

That is a beautiful jet. I am getting the urge to go get an Eagle to build. Its one of the few modern jets I don’t have yet!
Wow man!!! outstanding job! I like the bird (the real one, and the smallest brothers, I build the academy 1/72 kit a few yeras ago) is a beatuful machine, and you done justice to it.

Excellent looking build, top-notch! Please share specifics…what paints did you use? Clearcoat, dullcoat, etc. What weathering techniques…pre-shading, post-shading, etc.

Mitch…I use Pollyscale clears over MM enamels exclusively. I preshaded the model and applied pastels for staining.

It would no doubt be the centerpiece of my collection.You have every right to be proud. And a big ‘thank you’ from me for participating in the F-15 Group Build (even though it moved kinda slow).I’m still working on mine…and I hope to have it completed by the finish date.So what is the next masterpiece on your list?

This one was alot of fun and I’m glad you started the GB cause I probably would have built another Mustang or something. This was my first modern jet, and I really enjoyed myself. There was alot more I wanted to do, like open the panels on the other side, but the resin pieces interfered with each other. Anyhoo…I got some good feedback from my club members and looking forward to entering a contest to see if I’ll get lucky. Right now I’m working on the big Trumpeter 262 which is proving to be a very nicely engineered kit. Will post some progress soon.
